This is the time of year where we reflect on the things that we have, the things that are most imprtant and be grateful and thankful for those things.  Whatever is happening outside our doors right now should take a back seat to the things right in front of your face.  Tomorrow, 5 years from now, 10 years from now, those things are going to fade away and have no importance to you, but the things that you had...,right there in front of you will have mattered and we shouldn't throw that away.  There are some of us who have lost this year...jobs, loved ones...and there will be some of us who will lose things next year.  Make it a point to cherish all of them right now..THIS MOMENT.  You don't have to be religious or believe in God to be grateful for what you have, to humble yourself and acknowledge the blessings in your life, to share those feelings with family and friends.  Can we all just stop for one moment and push away the hateful rhetoric and propaganda being shoved in our faces every day and spend some time being thankful for what you have because it is not promised tomorrow, and anything can change in an instant.
