This is the time of year where we reflect on the things that we have, the things that are most imprtant and be grateful and thankful for those things.  Whatever is happening outside our doors right now should take a back seat to the things right in front of your face.  Tomorrow, 5 years from now, 10 years from now, those things are going to fade away and have no importance to you, but the things that you had...,right there in front of you will have mattered and we shouldn't throw that away.  There are some of us who have lost this year...jobs, loved ones...and there will be some of us who will lose things next year.  Make it a point to cherish all of them right now..THIS MOMENT.  You don't have to be religious or believe in God to be grateful for what you have, to humble yourself and acknowledge the blessings in your life, to share those feelings with family and friends.  Can we all just stop for one moment and push away the hateful rhetoric and propaganda being shoved in our faces every day and spend some time being thankful for what you have because it is not promised tomorrow, and anything can change in an instant.

About Me image
I want to let you all know how happy I am that your here!  Since I am hoping to spend time with you all, I figured it would be nice to get to know each other!

I am a full-time working mother of four and three fur babies! I read to help decompress after a long or challenging day. I have been an avid reader all my life. My very first memory of really loving books was in the fifth grade! When it was library day I would always get the same one...I still remember the title!!! It was called "Luckiest Girl" and I loved it. I would read it over and over. As I grew older I started expanding to other authors like V.C.Andrews, Stephen King, Dean Koonz, Belva Plain, Robert McCammon and Danielle Steele. However, I never strayed from my comfort zone.

Then, one day I had to take my son to the library for a project and realized how many books were actually in one building! There were thousands of titles and authors I had never read or heard of. What if I were missing out on some great stories??? So, I causally just grabbed a book from the shelf...not even bothering to read what it was about...and signed it out. Well, it was a really good story!! I even went back and read the other two books in the series!! In that moment, I decided to just start reading right through the library. I went to the fiction section and grabbed the very first book on the shelf and that is where it all began!

I will be totally honest, not EVERY book is one you fall in love with, and there are some that are a hard sell. I hope you will stick with me, get out of that box and come read with me! 😊
